Snow White
I was commissioned by Oxford Playhouse to write their 2026 pantomime, Snow White, directed by Artistic Director Mike Tweddle, with music composed and arranged by Caolan McCarthy.
A fresh take on the classic fairy tale, our Snow White transports the story to West Oxford Wood, where ancient forest magic collides with a world of image-enhancing technology.
Standing in Snow’s way is the glamorous, image-obsessed Queen Narcissa and her all-knowing mirror, MiRi. When Narcissa discovers a magical resource that can preserve her beauty, she becomes determined to mine every last piece of it from the forest.
It’s a big, funny, musical family show about beauty, belonging, nature, technology and finding the courage to stand up for what matters — packed with audience participation, original songs, terrible jokes, rebellious eco-warriors and one extremely scene-stealing pig.
Snow White runs on the Oxford Playhouse Main Stage from 20 November 2026 – 3 January 2027.
